A Farm-Flavoured Winery Wedding
Nadine and Bob threw the most beautiful, loved-up wedding at Oakover Grounds, a celebration that was preceded by a morning on their farmhouse in Gingin. This wedding ticked so many boxes for me – as a farm girl at heart, there has always been something about country life that nourishes my soul. The dusty, pollen-filled air; old, worn-out shed beams; sprawling houses with intricate floor plans and stairs that are impossible to climb without creaking. When they invited me up to their farm last May for their pre-wedding photos, I felt immediately at home, much like I felt with the couple and their crew on the day of the wedding.
Creating and Leaving a Legacy
Bob and Nadine share their acreage with his mum, a property complete with two separate farmhouses that are each at least a century old. I know a lot of couples choose to get ready in their own home, but there was something uniquely impactful about a home that already spans generations and being able to add to, in images, a legacy that’s been years in the making. For that reason, it’s so important to include your heritage, your history, or your life that you’ve crafted together when you’re putting the pieces together for your wedding day.
